IR35 Implementation - Associate Lecturers

The Challenge

Supporting Arden University to ensure they are compliant with the new IR35 tax reforms.

Project Delivered

I successfully delivered a project with the Associate Lecturer engagement team to support them in ensuring compliance with the new IR35 tax requirements.

The project delivery included:

• Project management

• Implementation of IR35 assessments for all new Associate Lecturers being engaged by the University

• Roll out of assessments where missing for existing Associate Lecturers (approx. 500 on the books)

• Streamline of Associate Lecturer data relating to both general engagement and specifically to IR35 assessment

• Set up of ongoing processes for future engagement of Associate Lecturers, supported by mapping and guidance documentation

• Creation and delivery of training for relevant members of the engagement team

Outcome

Excellent feedback from the engagement team

Incorporation of new IR35 process into wider engagement process improvements resulting in a substantial reduction in time to engage each Associate Lecturer

Ability to meet internal and external audit requirements with IR35 data
